Hello, my name is Luther Snyder and I have been doing woodworking since I was in high school. I don't remember every project I made in wood class, but my classmates were always making something big - desks, gun cabinets, and dressers. I, on the other hand, was making smaller projects. I remember making a spoon rack for my mother, who still has it to this day.

When I graduated high school I went straight into the army and woodworking was the last thing on my mind as I had other things to do. I served my country and was honorably discharged. After the army, I picked up woodworking again. Here I am at the Appleton Octoberfest doing what I like to do. I go to a lot of shows and people just love to watch me. One ends up with a lot of tools over the years when you are into woodworking. The first tool I purchased was a Skill Saw, and from there I kept on buying tools I needed. I never got into making really big items, the small craft items interested me more so I began building children's toys. My wife and I enjoy going to craft shows selling my items and doing on-site demonstrations. |
